The Magpul MAG1421FDE Hunter Lite Stock is a purpose-built drop-in replacement for Ruger American short-action rifles that strips unnecessary weight and bulk without sacrificing the features serious hunters need. At just 2.6 lbs with two spacers installed, this stock is approximately 25% lighter than Magpul's original Hunter American Stock, making it an ideal choice for hunters who spend all day in the field and every ounce matters. The forend is also nearly 25% narrower than the full-size Hunter, giving you a more refined profile without compromises.
Built with an extruded aluminum V-bedding block and reinforced steel action-screw pillars, the Hunter Lite delivers the rigidity and consistency demanded by hunters who expect their rifles to perform. The stock accepts factory Ruger barrels as well as most aftermarket profiles up to Medium Palma, so you can customize your rifle while keeping the foundation stable. An integrated M-LOK slot system on the forend lets you mount accessories exactly where you need them, whether it's a light, bipod, or other gear.
The Hunter Lite is equally at home in a right or left-handed setup—simply swap the inlet insert to match your rifle, making it a flexible choice for any household. Integral sling swivel studs on both buttstock and forend give you mounting points for slings and bipods, while four removable half-inch spacers let you dial in your length of pull between 13 and 15 inches. A snap-on 3/8-inch cheek riser adjusts comb height to match your optic and shooting position. The enlarged trigger guard and ambidextrous magazine release work seamlessly even when wearing gloves, and the stock accepts AICS-pattern magazines (sold separately) for modern ammunition flexibility.
