The Arisaka Offset Optic Mount PLT 14 - 509 Tall is a modular red dot mounting solution designed for AR15 rifles that already wear a primary scope. This tactical accessory lets you run an offset red dot sight—either 35 or 45 degrees—while keeping your primary optic in the center position. The 35-degree angle works best with slimmer, smaller scopes; the 45-degree angle gives you clearance around wider turrets and larger, higher-magnification glass. Either way, when you cant the rifle to use the offset dot, it stays centered over the bore and holds a lower 1/3 co-witness height, giving you reliable aim without complicated holdovers.
Build quality is serious: the mount is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with mil-spec hard anodize (MIL-A-8625 Type III), so it'll handle the recoil and weather. The base clamps to your top Picatinny rail using twin recoil lugs and a clamping screw—occupies three slots and sits just 0.180" above the rail. The whole base weighs only 1.9 oz without an optic mounted, keeping your rifle lean.
