The Area 419 Hellfire self-timing muzzle brake for 6.5mm calibers puts recoil management and ease of installation in your hands—literally. Built around a simple hand-torqueable knurled collar that requires no tools, this brake locks onto its taper adapter automatically as you push it home, eliminating the guesswork of port alignment that comes with traditional brakes. Once seated, you tighten the collar by hand and you're done shooting. That simplicity, combined with excellent return to zero, means you can remove and reinstall the brake without chasing your zero.
The Hellfire uses rearward-facing ports and a proprietary port geometry to manage both recoil and muzzle rise without relying on top porting. Third-party testing on a 6.5 Creedmoor showed 52% recoil reduction—about 4% better than several popular competitors in the market. The brake face is engraved with caliber and a leveling line, so correct orientation and timing is unmistakable. Made from heat-treated 17-4PH stainless steel and finished in black nitride, it's built to handle the pressures and temperatures of serious shooting and manufactured on CNC equipment here in the USA.
Compatible with any bullet caliber up to and including .264" (6.5mm)—that covers everything from .257 magnums on up. Installation uses a universal adapter that threads onto your barrel with a 5/8" wrench and stays put; only the brake and collar assembly move during timing. The complete assembly adds roughly 2" to barrel length overall.

The brake uses a tapered seat and a hand-tightened knurled collar. You thread the universal adapter onto your barrel with a wrench, then hand-thread the brake assembly onto the adapter until snug. Rotate the brake to your desired port orientation, push it into the adapter until you feel it lock onto the taper, then hand-tighten the collar. No tools, no second-guessing port alignment.
Yes. The Hellfire's design delivers excellent return to zero, so removal and reinstallation won't require re-zeroing your optic.
The complete assembly adds approximately 2" to your barrel's overall length, measured from the thread shoulder.
