The Daniel Defense DDM4 PDW in 300 Blackout is a purpose-built AR pistol engineered for shooters who need serious capability in a genuinely compact package. At 20.75 inches overall length, this 7-inch barreled CQB platform delivers the ballistics and handling of a modern tactical carbine while remaining small enough to stow in a backpack or tight vehicle space. The 300 Blackout caliber pairs perfectly with the short barrel—subsonic loads stay subsonic, and the 1:7 twist chamber handles both subsonic and supersonic ammunition reliably. This is the gun you grab when you need a capable, maneuverable option for home defense, vehicle-mounted readiness, or precision close-quarters work.
Daniel Defense built the DDM4 PDW to run suppressed or unsuppressed without compromise. The chrome-moly vanadium barrel is cold hammer forged, chrome lined, and mil-spec phosphate coated—the kind of construction that eats punishment and keeps running. The Maxim Defense CQB Pistol Brace integrates with an enhanced buffer system tuned for this platform, and the lower receiver features an enhanced flared magazine well for fast, positive reloads under stress. The 6-inch MFR XL handguard in M-LOK is built from 6061-T6 aluminum and hard coat anodized, giving you plenty of real estate for mounting lights, lasers, or other mission-critical accessories.
The DDM4 PDW doesn't skimp on ergonomics. The GRIP-N-RIP charging handle is ambidextrous and engineered specifically for suppressed fire—it redirects gas upward and away from your face instead of straight back. The linear compensator points muzzle blast forward of the shooter. Add the Daniel Defense pistol grip with soft-touch overmolding and the SLR Handstop, and you have a gun that's genuinely pleasant to run hard, shot after shot. Every receiver is mil-spec CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the bolt carrier is M16 profile and properly staked, and the whole rifle comes with a Daniel Defense full-latch impact case. Made in the USA, it ships with a Magpul PMAG 30 AR 300 B Gen M3 magazine and runs a 5/8-24 TPI muzzle thread for suppressor compatibility.
