The Thompson Center Encore Pro Hunter .50 Cal 20" composite stock rifle is built on the proven Encore platform and designed to simplify modern muzzleloading without sacrificing the accuracy serious hunters demand. The composite stock and forend incorporate Thompson Center's FlexTech recoil reduction system. Built into the stock are four Energy Burners and a recoil pad that compress slightly on firing, reducing felt recoil by 42 percent—a real advantage in the field when you need follow-up shots or when hunting over long seasons. At 7 pounds, the rifle stays nimble in timber and open country, and the 14-inch length of pull makes it comfortable for most shooters. The Swing Hammer positions to either side of the frame, so you can access it cleanly even with a scope mounted overhead.
