The Midwest Industries Combat Fixed Rear Sight brings proven A2 sight geometry to a modern, lightweight package. If you're running an AR-15 with a flat-top receiver and want a reliable backup to your optic—or a primary sight system—this aluminum rear sight delivers the familiar sight picture that generations of shooters have trusted, wrapped in a stronger, more durable housing than mil-spec irons. Whether you're building a patrol rifle, setting up a dedicated 3-gun gun, or just want to add a quality backup system to your current setup, a dependable fixed rear sight is the foundation of any irons-only or optic-plus-irons platform.
Machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and hardcoat-anodized for corrosion resistance, the Combat sight is built to handle hard use without flex or failure. It rides at the same height above the rail as standard mil-spec irons, so co-witnessing with your optic is straightforward. The sight uses the classic A2 aperture—the same proven design you'll find on countless service rifles—but with a key difference: it's designed to accept Trijicon replacement apertures if you want to refine your sight picture down the road.
At just 1.9 ounces, it won't bloat your rifle's weight budget. This is a fixed rear sight, so there's no dialing for distance; it's set and forget. Both rifle and carbine configurations are included, each offering 0.5- and 0.65-MOA adjustments respectively. Throw it on a flat-top, mount your optic forward, and you have a solid two-tier sighting system that doesn't rely on anything electronic to go bang when you need it.

Yes. The Combat Fixed Rear Sight mounts at standard mil-spec iron sight height, so it will sit lower than most optics and provide a clean co-witness on a flat-top receiver. If you want a 1/3 co-witness or lower third position, you'll need a riser or optic mount built for that height.
Both configurations are included with your purchase. The carbine version offers 0.5-MOA adjustments, while the rifle version provides 0.65-MOA adjustments. Choose whichever matches your barrel length and intended zero distance.
The Combat sight is designed to accept Trijicon replacement apertures, so you can swap in alternative apertures if you want a different sight picture or configuration down the line. The standard A2 aperture comes installed.
This rear sight is designed for AR-15 platform rifles with a Picatinny rail on top of a flat-top receiver. It will not fit carry handle AR-15s or upper receivers with iron sights already built in.
