The Lee Precision Lube & Size Kit in .224 diameter is a straightforward, press-mounted solution for cast bullet reloaders who want to size and lubricate without fuss. This all-in-one kit threads into any single-stage reloading press (7/8x14 standard threads) and lets you process cast bullets efficiently—no separate lubricating step, no complicated tooling required. If you're casting your own bullets for varmint or target loads, this kit eliminates the tedious hand-sizing work and gets your bullets ready to load in one smooth operation.
The design is elegantly simple: bullets go through the sizing die nose-first, which means you don't need special nose punches or a top punch—the included punch assembly does the job. The kit comes with its own collection container, so sized bullets are captured and organized as they emerge. Gas checks are handled automatically: lubricate your cast bullets with liquid alox (sold separately), seat a gas check on the bullet base, and as the bullet is pushed through the die, it gets sized and the gas check gets crimped in one stroke. This is faster and more reliable than trying to crimp checks by hand.
Important: this kit is designed for single-stage presses only—it won't work with progressive equipment. The .224 diameter sizing die is sized for cast bullets with a groove diameter approximately .001" smaller than .224", so double-check your bullet dimensions before ordering.
