The LanTac USA LLC 556 Enhanced Black Nitride Bolt Carrier Group (BCG) is a precision-engineered carrier built for shooters who demand smooth, reliable function across suppressed and unsuppressed setups. This full-auto-style BCG combines advanced metallurgy with LanTac's patented gas-port design to deliver flatter shooting, less wear, and cooler operation than standard carriers—especially valuable if you run a short-barreled rifle or suppressor.
The heart of this BCG is 8620 steel carrier stock, precision machined and heat-treated, paired with a Carpenter 158 or 9310 bolt that's shot peened and magnetically particle inspected for quality. The whole assembly receives QPQ nitride coating—a specialized case-hardening process that creates a remarkably hard, slick surface with serious corrosion resistance and a low coefficient of friction. That translates to easier cleaning, less fouling, and parts that wear slower. The gas key is hard chrome lined to military standard and properly staked with grade 8 fasteners, so it won't loosen under pressure.
What sets the Enhanced BCG apart is its shrouded, forward-facing gas ports—redesigned to meter gas differently than mil-spec carriers. This unique geometry reduces the pressure spike that builds inside the upper receiver, especially on suppressed short barrels, while promoting a softer carrier strike and smoother cycling. The flared boss at the carrier tail locks more consistently in your upper receiver, which can improve shot-to-shot accuracy. At 11.7 ounces, the added mass helps increase lock time for more predictable performance. The included CP-R360 cam pin is machined from stainless steel, hardened and domed to minimize wear on your receiver.
This is a genuine semi-auto/full-auto compatible carrier made in the USA. While the forward porting reduces upper pressurization, keep in mind it's one piece of the suppressor-tuning puzzle—heavily over-gassed rifles may still need other adjustments.

| Origin | Made in the USA |
Yes. The LanTac Enhanced BCG is designed with forward-facing porting to reduce the upper receiver pressurization that suppressors can cause, particularly on short-barrel rifles. This helps the BCG run smoother and cooler. However, it's one part of the solution—heavily over-gassed guns may still need additional tuning (buffer weight, gas block adjustment, etc.) for optimal performance.
Yes, the LanTac Enhanced BCG is compatible with both semi-auto and full-auto receiver platforms.
QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) nitride is a specialized case-hardening process that creates a very hard, ultra-smooth surface. Compared to standard finishes, it offers superior corrosion resistance, reduced friction for easier cycling and cleaning, and significantly longer wear resistance on critical surfaces like the carrier.
The BCG comes complete with the 8620 carrier, Carpenter 158/9310 bolt, the proprietary CP-R360 domed cam pin, mil-spec gas rings, and a properly staked and hard-chrome-lined gas key with gasket sealer.
