The Lantac Drakon is a purpose-built muzzle brake for 7.62x39mm AK-platform rifles, engineered to tackle two of the biggest challenges AK shooters face: punishing recoil and muzzle climb. Built from hardened Milspec steel with a nitride finish, this American-made brake uses a patent-pending Short Energy Pulse system to manage the violent impulses that make rapid fire difficult to control and follow-up shots inconsistent. Instead of letting recoil energy stack and hammer you backward, the Drakon's design breaks the pulse into manageable intervals so your sight picture stays steady through strings of fire.
At 2.66 inches long and weighing just 2.8 ounces, the Drakon mounts cleanly on standard 14x1 left-hand AK threads without excessive overhang. The hardened steel construction handles the punishment of full-auto or high-volume shooting without degradation. Beyond recoil management, the brake's fin geometry also works to attenuate muzzle blast gases, which has the side benefit of reducing flash signature—useful whether you're running suppressed or unsuppressed, and valuable on indoor ranges or low-light scenarios where blast and light discipline matter.
This isn't a compromise brake designed to do everything adequately. It's built specifically for shooters who run 7.62x39mm and want the confidence that their follow-up shots will land on steel or paper, not disappear into the sky. Whether you're behind a rifle for timed matches, training, or hunting, the Drakon keeps you in the fight.
| Caliber | 7.62x39mm |

| Thread Pattern | 14x1 Left-Hand |
| Country of Origin | USA |
The Lantac Drakon is designed for 7.62x39mm AK-platform rifles with standard 14x1 left-hand threads. If your rifle has a muzzle threaded to that specification, it will fit. If your AK has a different thread pattern or you're unsure, verify your rifle's muzzle threading before ordering.
The Drakon uses a Short Energy Pulse system that manages recoil energy so follow-up shots stay on target rather than climbing with cumulative impulse. Exact recoil reduction varies with rifle weight and ammunition, but the design is optimized to keep muzzle rise manageable during rapid or full-auto fire.
The Drakon's fin geometry attenuates muzzle blast gases and reduces flash signature compared to a bare muzzle. It is not a suppressor and does not provide hearing protection. For hearing protection, you would need a dedicated suppressor in addition to this brake.
You receive the muzzle brake itself. Each unit is serial numbered for quality control. Installation requires removing your existing muzzle device (if equipped) and threading the Drakon onto your rifle's muzzle in the correct rotational position.
