The IRAY USA Rico Micro Pictail Shoe is a dual-interface mounting accessory that bridges helmet-mounted night vision and rifle-based thermal imaging platforms. This ultra-compact adapter combines a standard dovetail shoe—compatible with Wilcox, KVC, and other helmet mounting hardware—with a MIL-STD-1913 picatinny rail interface on a single platform. It's designed for shooters and operators who need flexible mounting options across both helmet and weapon systems without swapping optics.
The Pictail Shoe works in tandem with the ADM MQD mount to deliver adjustable offset configurations for different gun setups. In standalone mode (optic mounted directly to a rifle), the system produces over 4.5 inches of rear offset. Reversed for clip-on thermal use, that offset shrinks to just 1.5 inches—a critical advantage for short-barreled rifles, pistols, and compact carbines where rail real estate is limited. The clip-on configuration requires only 4 rail slots forward of your day optic, making it practical for tight-quarters builds.

The Pictail Shoe features a standard dovetail interface compatible with helmet-mounting hardware from Wilcox, KVC, and other manufacturers that use dovetail receptacles. The picatinny rail side is designed to work with the ADM MQD mount.
In clip-on mode (reversed orientation), the Pictail Shoe and MQD mount configuration requires just 4 picatinny rail slots forward of your day optic, making it ideal for short platforms like SBRs and pistols where space is at a premium.
In standalone optic mode (mounted directly to rifle rail), the system produces over 4.5 inches of rear offset. When reversed for clip-on thermal use, the rear offset shrinks to 1.5 inches to minimize footprint on short-barreled guns.
