The Hatsan ZADA air rifle in .177 caliber is a spring-action break barrel designed to get shooters started without overwhelming complexity or cost. If you're new to air rifles and want a platform that handles like a real firearm without the recoil, the ZADA delivers smooth cocking action and genuine accuracy right out of the box. Hatsan engineered this rifle with an easy-cocking break barrel mechanism and a large muzzle brake featuring their QuietEnergy technology—a fully shrouded barrel with integrated sound moderator that keeps noise down and makes the cocking stroke feel effortless, even for younger or smaller shooters.
The synthetic tactical stock is ambidextrous and lightweight, with a pistol grip, Monte Carlo cheek piece, and checkering on the grip and forearm for positive control. A rubber recoil pad handles what little recoil the spring action produces. The rifle ships with a 4×32 Optima scope mounted on an integrated shock-absorbing polymer rail designed to hold zero, so you can start shooting accurately without hunting down mounts. If you prefer iron sights, the ZADA includes adjustable fiber optic rear sights with micro-adjustments for windage and elevation. The all-steel rifled barrel keeps shot groups tight and is built to last through years of backyard plinking and small-game hunting.
Safety features include both manual and automatic cocking safeties, an anti-bear trap mechanism, and a fully adjustable trigger. The rail accepts both 11mm dovetail and Weaver mounts, so you can swap optics as your skills grow. In .177 caliber with lead pellets, the ZADA produces up to 1,100 feet per second and 20 foot-pounds of muzzle energy—enough for target practice, pest control, and small game at reasonable distances.
