At the heart of this upper is a Geissele cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel with a 1-7 twist rate, machined to Geissele's own profile and manufactured at their facility in North Wales, Pennsylvania. The barrel is paired with a Super Compact Gas Block and carbine-length gas tube that Geissele has tuned for reliability in harsh conditions. Mounted up front is a HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD muzzle device with Nanoweapon coating for corrosion resistance and a quick-detach interface for suppressors or other compatible devices.
Included is Geissele's Super Modular Rail (SMR) MK16—a variant of the aluminum handguard trusted by elite military units—which locks to the upper via a center-aligning tab to eliminate any possibility of rail rotation. The bolt carrier group is Geissele's Reliability Enhanced design, featuring an H13 cam pin, extended upper rails for feeding stability, and a properly staked, chrome-lined gas key. The Stressproof bolt itself is forged from Carpenter 158+ steel, a proprietary alloy developed with Carpenter Steel to reduce impurities and resist fatigue.
The complete package includes Geissele's Airborne Charging Handle. Available in black or DDC (Dark Dirt Color). Note that 13.9" and 14.5" uppers ship with a pinned and welded muzzle device; the 16" upper listed here has a standard threaded muzzle device.
