The Forward Controls Design AR-15 enlarged triggerguard in FDE is built for shooters who need reliable hand control in any conditions—especially when wearing gloves or running heavy gear. Machined from 7075 aluminum and hard-coated with Type III anodize, this trigger guard fills the gap between the lower receiver's trigger guard ears and gives your trigger finger significantly more room than a stock guard. Unlike traditional AR trigger guards that swing down, the FCD design is fixed, relying on a front set screw (flush-mounted so it won't catch) and a rear roll pin for bombproof retention.
The enlarged geometry is the whole point here. FCD engineered constant internal space from the trigger bow forward, so you don't lose room as the guard approaches the receiver—a real advantage in cold weather or with gloved hands. All edges are softened to eliminate snag points, and a canted front edge makes magazine changes smoother. The FDE finish blends seamlessly with modern rifle builds and holds up to the field and the range.
This is a TDP spec lower compatible part, made in the USA. Setup is straightforward: the included roll pin and set screw handle attachment, though you'll need a 1/16" Allen wrench (not supplied) to tighten the front screw.

The FCD enlarged triggerguard is designed for TDP spec forged lower receivers. It fills the forward gap between the trigger guard ears on those receivers and does not swing down like traditional trigger guards.
You get the trigger guard, a roll pin, and a set screw. You'll need a 1/16" Allen wrench to tighten the front set screw; the wrench is not included.
The set screw design (similar to Magpul's approach) provides a fixed, reliable attachment that stays secure without loosening. The flush-mounted screw won't protrude or catch on gear.
FCD engineered the internal space to remain constant from the trigger bow forward, eliminating the taper found in standard guards. This gives you maximum usable trigger finger room, especially valuable in cold weather or with bulky gloves.
