The Faxon Firearms Gunner 16" 22ARC Nickel Barrel is a purpose-built upper receiver component for AR-platform shooters running 22 ARC. This is a Match Series barrel—Faxon's in-house manufactured offering that blends the durability of a government profile with the reduced weight and faster handling of a pencil profile. The result is a rifle that balances all-day shooting comfort with the rigidity you need for precision and hunting work.
Built from 416-R stainless steel bar-stock and rifled with Faxon's 5R button rifling, the bore is designed for velocity retention and easier cleaning than traditional lands-and-grooves. The 1:7 twist rate stabilizes 22 ARC loads across the typical hunting and target-shooting range. Inside and out, the barrel receives salt bath Nitride treatment—a process that locks in bore dimensions, extends barrel life, and resists corrosion without adding unnecessary weight. The M4 extension is coated in Nickel Teflon, which maintains excellent lubricity when dry, resists rust and salt, and tightens the fit between extension and receiver for improved accuracy. Every barrel undergoes magnetic particle inspection before shipping.
At 1.57 lbs, the Gunner profile keeps your rifle nimble without compromising stiffness. The 1/2x28 muzzle thread accommodates standard suppressors and muzzle devices.
