A stripped lower includes only the aluminum forging and fire control group cavity. You'll need to source and install a trigger assembly (trigger, hammer, disconnector, springs, and pins), a fire control selector, and a pistol grip. Many builders purchase a complete lower parts kit to simplify assembly.
This lower is marked Multi-Cal and is designed to accommodate AR-15 calibers, including .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. The caliber is ultimately determined by the upper receiver and barrel you pair with it, not the lower.
