The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 S is a 5.56mm NATO short-barrel rifle (SBR) built for shooters who need serious capability in a compact package. With an 11.5-inch cold hammer-forged barrel and carbine-length gas system, this is a purpose-built fighting rifle that balances maneuverability with reliability and accuracy. The heart of this rifle is a mil-spec lower receiver machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with Daniel Defense's enhanced flared magazine well—a feature that matters when you're reloading under pressure. The upper receiver rides on the same tough alloy and feeds reliably thanks to M4 feed ramps. The barrel itself is chrome-moly vanadium steel, cold hammer-forged with a 1:7 twist, chrome-lined, and mil-spec phosphate-coated. It's threaded 1/2x28 for suppressors and muzzle devices, and comes fitted with Daniel Defense's own flash suppressor. The bolt carrier group is M16 profile with a properly staked gas key—exactly what you want when reliability matters.
Ergonomics are dialed in across the board: the MFR 10.0 handguard gives you M-LOK attachment points in seven positions plus an uninterrupted Picatinny rail on top for your optics and accessories. Yes. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 TPI, which is the standard thread pitch for 5.56mm suppressors and muzzle devices. The rifle ships with a Daniel Defense flash suppressor already installed, and you can swap it for any compatible suppressor or flash hider.

The DDM4 V7 S uses standard AR-15 magazines and ships with one 32-round Daniel Defense magazine. It is compatible with other mil-spec 5.56mm AR-15 magazines.
Sights are sold separately. The rifle includes a full-length Picatinny rail on top of the MFR 10.0 handguard, so you can mount any optic or iron sight system you choose. The rear receiver also has a QD swivel attachment point.
