The Area 419 Arcalock 12" Universal Barricade Rail Kit with Clamp is a precision front-rest system built for shooters who demand repeatable, rock-solid positioning at the bench or barricade. Unlike generic rail-and-clamp combinations, this kit combines Area 419's proprietary locking mechanism with true universality—it works across multiple rifle and stock configurations, from Manners composites to custom rigs with accessible front action screws. Whether you're dialing in a long-range setup, running steel matches, or fine-tuning load development, the Arcalock delivers the mechanical lock-in hunters, precision rifle shooters, and competitive marksmen need.
The 12" rail is the foundation here. Its serrated sides mesh with the clamp's proprietary design to create a positive mechanical lock—no slipping, no creep. You get 58 indexed positions engraved directly on the rail so you can dial in known distances or barricade heights on the fly. The rail is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, hard-coat anodized for durability, and built with the kind of attention to detail you'd expect from USA-made CNC work: every corner is radiused, every edge chamfered. It's backwards compatible with standard Arca accessories (though without the locking benefit of the clamp) and conforms to the RRS 1.5" dovetail standard for broad accessory compatibility.
The clamp is where the innovation really shows. Its two-stage screw uses different thread pitches: coarse 16 TPI threads for rapid adjustment when loose, then fine 32 TPI when under load for added clamping torque. Release from the detents takes roughly a quarter turn; full removal takes about one turn. It attaches directly to Atlas bipods with factory hardware and works with Harris bipods when paired with the optional spigot extension. The barricade stop can run standalone on the clamp or nest between your bipod's legs—your choice. The whole clamp is dovetailed top and bottom to prevent tilt, with a travel-limited knob that won't fall apart in the field.
Installation is straightforward for most rigs. The kit includes one Remington 700-style action screw for the front attachment point (trimming may be needed), tee nuts, and hardware. You'll need a 3/4" paddle bit and drill press for some configurations. The rail can anchor at up to six points on your rifle for maximum stability and extends past many stocks, letting you push your bipod further forward for added support.

The Arcalock is designed for rifles with an accessible front action screw and forward attachment point(s). It was engineered with Manners composite stocks in mind but accommodates a wide range of configurations. If your rifle has a standard Remington 700-style action or similar setup, you're likely in good shape. A few rigs may require minor trimming of the included action screw or hole drilling with a 3/4" paddle bit. When in doubt, check that your stock allows clear access to the front action screw and has room for the rail underneath.
Yes—the clamp is backwards compatible with standard Arca rails. Remove the two locking pins and you'll have infinite sliding adjustment on any Arca rail. You won't get the indexed, mechanical lock-in you'd have with the serrated Arcalock rail, but the clamp will still work. For the full advantage of 58 engraved positions and true zero-movement locking, pair it with the Area 419 Arcalock rail.
The clamp bolts directly to Atlas bipods using their factory hardware. For Harris bipods, you'll need the optional Harris bipod adapter (spigot extension). The barricade stop can either mount standalone on the clamp with provided hardware or sandwich between your Atlas bipod's legs. Check your bipod type before ordering if you're not running an Atlas model.
The kit includes the 12" rail, clamp, barricade stop, one Remington 700-style action screw, tee nuts, and associated hardware. M-LOK hardware is not included. You may need a 3/4" paddle bit and drill press to install tee nuts depending on your current rifle setup. If you're using a Harris bipod, the optional spigot extension is sold separately.
