Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, the R-One brings Aero's proven reliability to modern AR-10 builds, featuring their proprietary Aero Taper Lock Attachment System (ATLAS) — a mirror-nut design that distributes clamping pressure evenly across a custom barrel nut to eliminate the handguard distortion you'll see with conventional mounting methods.
The 15" length strikes a balance between rail real estate and manageability, tipping the scales at just 10.6 oz. A full-length top Picatinny rail runs the length of the handguard for optics, lights, or accessories, while M-Lok slots line the sides and bottom for modular mounting. Quick-disconnect sling sockets at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions give you flexibility for how you carry and deploy. The slim 1.5" outer diameter keeps your hand position natural without bulk, and it plays nice with low-profile gas blocks so your setup stays clean.
ATLAS hardware includes everything you need out of the box — barrel nut, tapered locking nuts, turnbuckle screw, and ratcheting detent — so you're not hunting for parts. Aero designed this handguard to pair seamlessly with their M5E1 Threaded Upper Receivers; note that it is not compatible with M5E1 Enhanced billet uppers due to indexing.
