The Aero Precision AR15 BAR Barrel Nut with Shims is the key piece you need to mount an Aero Precision Enhanced handguard onto a standard mil-spec AR-15 upper receiver. If you're running one of Aero's handguards and don't have their M4E1 Enhanced upper (which integrates the barrel nut directly), this is your solution. It's machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, anodized black, and built tough enough to handle real shooting without fuss.
The package includes the barrel nut itself plus a shim pack with plenty of material to dial in your handguard alignment during installation. At 2.24 ounces, it adds negligible weight to your build.
